The AQHA Young Adult Professional Certification is a recognition awarded for young adults, ages 19-35 years old, who complete the following requirements and apply for approval by the application deadline. Age is defined as age on January 1 of application year. Requirements must be completed within the previous three years (i.e., for a 2026 submission, completed requirements must occur in 2024-2026). Only AQHA general or amateur membership involvement will be considered for the completion of requirements.
- Requirements to be awarded the certificate include:
- In-person attendance at least one industry convention or annual meeting
- Education or related experience
- Letters of recommendation
- List of industry membership, leadership, and involvement
- List of service, volunteer, and community involvement
- Current resume
- Current AQHA membership at time of application submission and certification issuance
Applications will be reviewed and approved by a member committee. Applications may be completed in one session or saved and completed in stages by the deadline. There is no fee to submit an application nor limit on number of certifications awarded each year. Applications are due December 31 of each year.
