Riders Cup Pays Nearly $50,000 Over Two Days

The inaugural National Snaffle Bit Association Riders Cup horse show concluded Sunday with a second day paying in excess of $20,000 to NSBA trainers and exhibitors. The show unofficially paid a total of more than $48,500 over two days.

The Riders Cup is designed to pay 20 percent of the earnings to the designated trainer and 80 percent to the horse owner. Five trainers earned more than $5,000 of the $27,000 awarded on Sunday, and over the two days, the trainers earned nearly $10,000 with their 20 percent stake in their clients’ placings.

Day 1

Four trainers split more than $4,000 of a total payout of just over $20,600 during the first day of the National Snaffle Bit Association’s inaugural Riders Cup horse show at Roberts Arena in Wilmington, Ohio. The show, being held October 4-5, is designed to present 20 percent of class earnings to the designated trainer with the entry.
