About The Cover

Twenty year-old Cole Gower of Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada ventures into new territory in 2014. Showing in his first year in the amateur division, Gower is very fortunate to have a great line-up of horses for this year’s Congress.

It is no surprise that one of Cole’s favorite classes is trail where he has three outstanding horses to show; AQHA World and Congress Champion, Design By Leaguer, Reserve World and Reserve Congress Champion, She Made It Happen and a new addition, Blazin On The Horizon.

“They all have so much talent and are extremely fun, but challenging to show,” Cole states. He also shows She Made It Happen in showmanship. “She is truly the most incredible partner I could ask for,” Cole says fondly. This team ended up with the bronze trophy last year in the trail at the AQHYA World Show and was ninth in the showmanship as well as AQHA High Point Youth, NSBA World and Reserve Congress Champions in the trail.

Cole is also debuting his latest addition, Simply My Goodbar, in the two year-old non-pro western pleasure events under the supervision of Patrick Heeley. His other pleasure trainer, Andy Cochran, will be showing As Shes Walkin Away in the senior western pleasure and maturity classes. “This man is so talented and knowledgeable,” he says about Cochran.

In the all-around events, Cole is under the supervision of Highpoint Performance Horses. “Special thanks to Jason Martin, Charlie Cole, Brad Ost and Adam Smith. This team has so much talent and they are fun to be around. I would like to take this time and wish my friend and coach, Brad Ost, a speedy recovery. I can’t wait to see you back in the saddle, Brad. You are missed.”

Cole adds, “I have a busy, but exciting Congress ahead. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with so many people who share the same passion as me. I wish everyone the best rides, fun, friendship and as much sleep as possible.”
