At this year’s AQHA World Championship Show, an event like no other, the horse show industry saw many unforgettable moments in this unprecedented time as new champions were crowned. Some were winners for the first time and some repeated to keep their winning streaks alive. Records were broken, tears were shed, some nights got late…but an overall sense of happiness and appreciation abound as exhibitors felt blessed just to be able to compete at this event at all this year.
More than 2,100 exhibitors and 7,500 entries competed for 290 championship titles; 99 Farnam AQHA World championships, 44 Adequan Select World championships, 85 Adequan Level 2 championships, 40 Nutrena Level 1 championships and 22 AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals championships plus more than $2.2 million in purse and prizes.
Professional photographer and videographer, Danielle Long of Attention to Detail was at this year’s World Show for GoHorseShow to capture many of these extraordinary moments from a variety of different events throughout the show. Danielle’s extensive horse knowledge and talent make her one of the most sought-after photographers in our industry and we are happy to have her as part of the GoHorseShow team. Thank you, Danielle, for your work ethic, positive attitude and most of all, incredibly talented work.
Finally, a huge thank you goes out to AQHA and all of the staff and volunteers who helped put on this event. In a year that could have easily seen things go the wrong way, AQHA pulled off arguably the greatest event in their 46 year history of the World Show. The end result was nothing short of miraculous. Thank you from everyone in the horse show world.
