New Team: Kent Ray Taylor Purchases Multiple World and Congress Champion Never Have I Ever from Dakota Andrie

Congratulations to Kent Ray Taylor on purchasing Multiple World and Congress Champion Never Have I Ever from Dakota Andrie.

Kent Ray Taylor of Mesa, Arizona has added even more horsepower to his strong group of show mares with the purchase of multiple AQHA World and Congress Champion Never Have I Ever. “Madonna” was previously owned by Dakota Andrie of Franklinville, New Jersey.

The 2017 double registered AQHA/APHA sorrel mare, bred by Rawlings Enterprises LLC of Summerton, South Carolina, is by No Doubt Im Lazy and out of A Certain Illusion.

“Making sure Madonna went to an amazing home and program was our top priority and we couldn’t be happier. We really got to know Kent Ray through all of this and he is truly a great guy,” Dakota’s mother, Dana Andrie stated. “We wish this new team the best and many years of happiness. Madonna will always have a piece of Dakota’s heart for everything she gave and did for her. She knows it was time to pass her unicorn on and wishes nothing but the best for Kent Ray and Madonna.”

At the 2020 NSBA World Show, Madonna won seven Western Pleasure titles with Jay Starnes and Dakota Andrie, including NSBA World Champion 3-Year-Old Open, 3-Year-Old Int. Non-Pro, and Open Junior Western Pleasure.

With Dakota, Madonna was the 2020 L1 Champion at the AQHYA World Show in Youth Western Pleasure, 2020 L2 Champion at the AQHYA World Show in Youth Western Pleasure, 2021 APHA World Champion Western Pleasure 18 and under, and the 2021 L3 AQHYA World Champion in Youth Western Pleasure 14-18. The mare was also the 2021 L3 Reserve World Champion Junior Western Pleasure horse at the AQHA World with Sara Simons.

We asked Kent Ray how this sale came about. “Dana contacted me back in December and asked me if I would consider selling Bailee (Snap It Send It) because Dakota really wanted to start doing the all-around events,” Taylor recalls. “I told her no, that I really wasn’t considering doing that, but was flattered that she inquired. Then I asked what she was going to do with Madonna because I would love to own her.”

Kent Ray plans to show Madonna in the Select Western Pleasure and the Junior Western Pleasure this year. Then, next year, they will be adding the Western Riding and Trail to her class load. “I’m very excited to add her to my band of unicorns,” Kent Ray said.

We wish this new team the best on all of your endeavors going forward.
