The 2021 All American Quarter Horse Congress is a wrap! Everyone was excited for it to be back this year after being canceled due to the COVID pandemic in 2020.
Some of the highlights from the show include Amber Hanson Pickard winning both the Open 2YO and 3YO Hunter Under Saddle classes. Also, the talented gelding owned by Sarah Shoemake, If Im Honest won the Level 1- Junior Western Riding, Youth 15-18 and Select Amateur Hunter Under Saddle.
GoHorseShow’s GoMag October Covergirl Maria Salazar won the Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation with Maid Me Good. Non-Pro Caroline Cavallo won her first Congress Championship as an exhibitor. She has been showing at the show since fifth grade.
Another is Allie Rippeon and Itzonly Make Believe won multiple all-around titles and Congress Championships after only being together for two months.
While Collin Froman completed the trifecta by winning the showmanship at the Youth World, NSBA World, and Congress. Also, the legendary mare Suddenly So Easy won all three of her western pleasure classes and her daughter, KM You Make It Easy won the 3YO Open Western Pleasure Futurity with Rusty Green.
Finally, in their last Congress together, Jason Martin and Heza Radical Zip won the Senior Western Riding with a recording-breaking score of 252 – the highest Jason has ever scored in the class.
