There will be a Celebration of Life for Stanley Ryan given by his daughters Courtney Ryan Brockmueller, Chelsea Ryan, and his fiance Leslie Bacon. The celebration will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 7pm at the NSBA World Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
GoHorseShow is sad to report the passing of trainer Stanley Ryan of Ocala, Florida due to the complications associated with lung cancer. Many people expressed their condolences to his daughters, Courtney Ryan Brockmueller and Chelsea Ryan on Facebook.
Ryan is possibly best known for winning the Equine Sports Medicine $100,000 two-year-old western pleasure class aboard A Certain Vino in 2005 at the Reichert Celebration.
Ryan was well respected and people loved to be around him as his smile lit up the entire room.
“He will me missed by so many,” Nancy Ditty posted. “What an amazing man. I will miss his amazing attitude and his contagious smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.”
Longtime friend and client, Dawn Meadows Deal of Eden, NC told us that she has been a friend and client of Ryan’s for more than 25 years.
“I can only say that the horse industry lost an icon tonight. He was loved by so many and will always be a legacy to those who knew him. Stanley was a friend, a mentor, a teacher, an icon in the horse industry and never without a hello and a smile on his face.”
