The Rock Candids & Rundown from Lucky 7 Classic

The Lucky 7 Classic Horse Show was recently held May 3-7 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The show is growing every year due to great show management, fabulous prizes and lots of points up for grabs. This show is one of the top shows in the industry every year and this year was no different. The classes were very deep and huge, several with 30 or more entries, including the Performance Amateur Halter Geldings and Senior Trail with over 40 entries. The show gave away a Harris Leather & Silverworks work saddle and halter in a random drawing.

“The Lucky 7 Classic was a great show drawing exhibitors from all across the country,” says, Amateur Ashley Hadlock who shows Touched N Moonlite in the all-around events. “Great Southern hospitality was proven all weekend with free exhibitor meals each day and many prizes given in every class. One of the largest classes was the Senior Trail with an impressive 42 entries.”

The all-around judges for the show were Gretchen Mathes, Clint Fullerton, Tom Robertson, Robin Frid, Lisa Ligon, and Pam Scott. While the specialty halter judges included Chris Arentsen, Greg Holden, and Randy Jacobs.

Lucky 7 Classic show manager Patrick Kayser hired the best of the best including Tim Kimura designing and running the trail pen. Trainers at the show included Nancy Sue Ryan, Sandy Vaughn, Valeric Kearns, Ryan Cottingim, Keith Miller, Joni Naas, Cole and Liz Baker, Jason Gilliam, Brian and Dawn Baker and Andy Staton, just to name a few.
