In August of 2010, GoHorseShow wrote an article about past AQHYA President, Reserve World Champion and Congress winner, Riley Smith, and what he has been up to since his horse showing days. Come to find out, ever since he moved to Los Angeles, Riley’s schedule has been booked full of acting and music gigs across the country.
GoHorseShow decided to check back in with Smith where we found out some more exciting news about his blooming acting career. The talented actor and singer will now have a recurring role on the fifth season of the hit television show, 90210!
“I can tell you that I’ve got a guaranteed deal for the first 13 episodes and will probably be doing some or a lot of the back 13 as well, but I will cross that when we get there because I may want to move onto other projects,” Riley told GoHorseShow. “I can’t say a lot about the character because I guess it’s a little bit of a secret–but I can say that my character’s name is …. Riley.. Serious. ha!” Riley says.
Smith — whose recent TV credits include installments of The Glades and The Closer — is no stranger to lengthy series gigs. Over the course of his career, he has enjoyed arcs on the aforementioned 24 (in Season 3), as well as critical darling Freaks and Geeks, Bob Saget’s Raising Dad, cult hit Joan of Arcadia and the short-lived Nathan Fillion vehicle, Drive.
