GoHorseShow sat down with Adria Smith, the owner of hunt seat stallions,
Iron Age and These Irons Are Hot, to find out more about their
unprecedented Congress breeding special. They also have recent news on
some of their offspring's accomplishments including Iron Age having the
highest selling english yearling at the Reichert Sale and These Irons
are Hot being number 14 on the Top 125 Hunter-Under-Saddle Sire Top
Earning Offspring.
In late July, the American Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee approved the AQHA competition leveling plan, which was developed and recommended by the AQHA Blue-Ribbon Task Force that has met numerous times since September 2010 to address AQHA’s show structure. Full implementation of the plan will take place in 2013.
GoHorseShow sat down with top horse show fashion designer, Lindsey James
of San Luis Obispo, California. Lindsey is the owner and designer for Lindsey James Show Clothing which is responsible for many of the great outfits you see in the show pen today. We wanted
to find out more about her showing background, how she got involved making show clothes, and what are the current trends in the industry.
Carolyn Day of Corpus Christi, Texas has been on a fast learning curve when it comes to showing horses on a national level. This 18 year-old is looking forward to showing at the Congress for the first time. Day and her horse, Dont Skip My Good Image (Farmer), will be showing in the novice all around events including: horsemanship, western pleasure, trail, western riding, equitation, hunter under saddle, and showmanship under the guidance of Reid Thomas.
