The Youth World issue of GoMag is now available online, and at 122 pages, it is our biggest issue ever! Not only does the July issue feature ads from top youth who are gearing up for Oklahoma City, but the summer futurity season is heating up and the Select World will quickly follow. Our cover features 11-year-old R.J. Jacobs of Dover, Ohio, and his Aged Gelding, Im In Touch. R.J. and “Kid” were crowned Grand Champion Youth Gelding at the 2008 Congress and are ready for the Aged Geldings class at the Youth World where they won third last year.

We are pleased to have Blair and Kristin Kern of Northwind Ranch on the cover of the March issue of GoMag. 2008 was a truly blessed year for the Kern girls and Northwind Ranch. The culmination came as both sisters won classes simultaneously at the Congress. Kristin and her great mare, Zizzles Hot Impulse, won the 13/under Novice Youth pleasure and were reserve in the 11/under pleasure at the Congress. Blair and Big N Rich came home with winning the NonPro Maturity and Ltd. Open Maturity Pleasure at the Congress, and then capped off the year winning the World Championship title in Amateur Western Pleasure.

Our January issue of GoMag features the stallion, Allocate Your Assets. Allocate Your Assets is a 4-time Congress champion and a Reserve World Champion in Hunter Under Saddle. The 2000 bay stallion won numerous NSBA High Point Championships in Hunter Under Saddle as a Junior and Senior Horse. Out of his first foal crop, “Al” has had two champions in the 2 year old Hunter Under Saddle Futurity and two Reserve Futurity Champions. One of his foals was 10th in the Congress Masters 2 year old Hunter Under Saddle.
Our December issue of GoMag features the stallion, Ovations Only, who just returned from the 2008 World Championship show with a bronze trophy! Ovations Only took a short break from the breeding barn to return to the show pen for the first time in five years. His grace, beauty and exceptional disposition took him and trainer Larry Hansch to a Top-Ten at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, and 3rd at the World Show in the Performance Halter Stallions.
Congratulations to our November GoMag cover star, Whitney Ward! Whitney was Reserve World Champion in Amateur Western Pleasure on My Bodys Sheik. Whitney was also just named the Champion in Amateur Horsemanship, Reserve Champion in Amateur Western Pleasure, Top-Ten in Amateur Western Riding, Reserve All-Around Amateur, Top-Ten in Senior Western Pleasure and Top-Five in the Non-Pro Pleasure Maturity at the 2008 All American Quarter Horse Congress under the guidance of Michael Colvin.
