GoHorseShow would like to congratulate the Martin family of Piketon, Ohio on the purchase of multiple AQHA World and Congress Champion Bestseatnthehouse from Alexandra Chavez of Paradise Valley, Arizona. This gorgeous mare, fondly known as Jodi, is by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Invited Always and was bred by Masterson Farms. Jodi’s new owners are Debbie and Dennis Martin, owners of the stallion Keeping It Good, who stands at Gumz Farms.
“We are so excited that we have the opportunity to purchase such an amazing mare,” Debbie Martin told GoHorseShow. “My granddaughter, Kylee, will be showing her this coming show season under the guidance of Ty and Karen Hornick. We would like to thank Alex Chavez for allowing us this opportunity. It is a once-in-a-lifetime gift.”
“I couldn’t be happier about this new team,” Alex told us about the sale. “I am thrilled for the Hornicks and Kylee to embark on this journey and I will be their biggest fan. I wish them all the the best and I see great things in store for them. This is an exciting new chapter for all of us and I feel like she couldn’t have fallen into better hands”.
“Alex Chavez and Troy Lehn were wonderful to work with,” said Amy Gumz of Gumz Farms. “We are very excited for this new team.”
The 2011 mare was recently shown by Deanna Green to Congress Championships in the 15-18 Youth and NYATT Western Pleasure. This duo also won the 2015 AQHYA World Championship in the Western Pleasure in August. In 2013, Jodi won the AQHA World Show in the Two Year-Old Western Pleasure with Rusty Green in the saddle.
During the 2016 show season, Kylee Faith Wiseman plans to show Jodi in the youth western pleasure and Ty and Karen Hornick will be showing her in the open western pleasure events. Right now, Jodi is headed to Gumz Farms in Kentucky where she will undergo embryo transfers and be bred to Keepin It Good. She will arrive at the Hornick’s farm at the start of the show season.
We wish this new team the best of luck next year!
