Made By J by Machine Made Wins $50,000 Added Hylton Maiden Class

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Drs. Candice Hall and Cory Seebach and their new mare, Made By J on winning the $50,000 added Hylton Maiden Three Year-Old and Over Western Pleasure Class at the Virginia Classic on Saturday. Hall/Seebach purchased “Jolene”, who is by their stallion, Machine Made, just last week.

The class was held during the Virginia Classic in Lexington, Virginia where the likes of top pleasure trainers Rusty Green, Patrick Heeley and Katy Jo Zuidema made the trip to the show to compete in this highly popular class.

AQHA judge Mike Carter, who was one of the judges of the Hylton Maiden said that he was really impressed with the quality of horses in the class, “There were a really nice set of horses, and anyone of them could have been the winner,” Carter told GoHorseShow.

Nineteen talented horses competed in the class where Made By J had two firsts and a fourth to win this prestigious event with Taft Dickerson in the saddle.  New owners Hall and Seebach were unable to travel to Virginia to watch their new horse show due to professional obligations.

“My great friend, Sarah Rosciti, who bred Machine Made, sent me little snippets of video during the class,” Hall told us. “It wasn’t streamed on line, so it was agonizing not being there but veterinary and dentist duties kept us home.”

Rosciti, who watched the Hylton Maiden class in person said that, “Jolene looked great, very well prepared and it sure didn’t look like her first trip around a show pen.”

Hall adds, “We were so proud of her, and she didn’t put a foot out of place and had a real steady ride. Taft did a fantastic job of presenting her.”

Hall also said that she was excited that the only non pro rider in the class, Courtney Chown placed in the Top 10 of the class riding a three year-old son of Machine Made. Machine Made stands at Riverside Ranch with Cindy McCraw.

Hall and Seebach purchased Made By J last week prior to her debut in the Hylton Maiden class. This mare will be under the guidance of Gil Galyean. Jolene is out AQHA World and Congress Champion Mare, Dark Jasmine.

After her win, Jolene was immediately transported to Gil Galyean’s facility in Purcell, Oklahoma where he will get ready to show her next week in Waco. “I can’t wait to finally see her in person,” Hall says.
