With excitement building for the 10th annual Reichert Celebration held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the judges have been finalized for the NSBA and AQHA portions of the show.
The 2008 Reichert Celebration will commence on Friday, August 8, 2008 with the festivities ending on Sunday, August 17, 2008, and the Reichert Celebration has much to build on from 2007 where over 4,400 entries were presented and over $1.5 million was awarded.
The NSBA section of the show will begin on Sunday, August 10th and run through the following Sunday, August 17th. The list of accomplished judges for this event includes: Randy Alderson who hails from Sharpsville, Indiana and carries multiple cards including AQHA, APHA, NSBA, and ApHC. Accompanying Judge Alderson will be, NSBA judge John Boxell from Auburn, Illinois. Judge and AQHA Professional Horsewoman Dawn Clason from Medina, Ohio, will also be a member of the pool for 2008, and Robin Frid will come to judge the Reichert Celebration from Denton, Texas. The husband and wife team of Bob and Debbie Kail will also be judging at the Reichert Celebration. The couple makes their home in Scottsdale, Arizona, and also judged the 2008 Tom Powers Futurity and an AQHA youth world show each as well. The 2007 AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year, Gretchen Mathes, of Harwinton, Connecticut, is also in the line-up of judges for the Reichert Celebration. Judge Jennifer Thompson from Reno, Nevada, is another 2008 pool member. Judge Kendra Weis completes the outstanding pool and hails from Moberly, Missouri. Judge Weis has just judged the 2008 APHA World Show as just a part of her outstanding resume.
Also at the 2008 Reichert Celebration, there will be eight AQHA judged shows with four split-combined full AQHA shows and four special events to kick off the festivities. The selection will occur from a pool for each portion of the show. The following judges construct the AQHA selection pool: Randy Alderson, Dawn Clason, Robin Frid, Bob Kail, Debbie Kail, Gretchen Mathes, Jennifer Thompson, and Kendra Weis.
The western special event AQHA show will begin Monday, August 11th. The western classes will be followed with a split/combined show running Tuesday, August 12th through Wednesday, August 13th. Trail and jumping classes will be held on Thursday, August 14th. The AQHA portion of the show will conclude with a final split/combined show beginning Friday, August 15th through Sunday August 17th.
