Nicole Barnes and Zippos Ace Of Spades of Glenview, Illinois, started their November 12th morning with a world championship in showmanship – they also won it in 2007. She was first on four judges’ cards; the fifth had her third. It was the pair’s second gold trophy of the Bank of America Amateur Week competition at the 2008 World Show; they also won the trail, placed sixth in western riding and made the finals in horsemanship. Nicole’s parents, Peter and Francine, and her trainers AQHA Pro Horsemen Brad and Valerie Kearns, were in the stands to cheer her on.
