Many of us remember when 14-year-old Brian Kissinger won the Senior Pleasure at the 1984 World show on Kings Bambi. 2008 wasn’t quite as remarkable, but it definitely was a break-through year for amateurs winning open classes at the big shows. Case in point – Kristin Glover won the Senior Western Pleasure and Senior Western Riding at the Congress aboard Vital Signs Are Good, Blair Kern and Big N Rich won the Congress Western Pleasure Maturity – Limited, and Joetta Bell won the Congress 2-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity – Open and was 4th at the World Show in the 2-year-old western pleasure with My Ace Is Hot.
