Happy New Year from The Southern Belle!
We are always seeking ways to increase your visibility to the public. The 2009 Southern Belle Invitation Breeder’s Program will again offer a slate of classes in both Western Pleasure and HUS in both Open and Non Pro with payback on all classes to the Breeder/Stallion Owner of 20% except for the larger purses where it will be 10%.
We also are very excited to announce that the 3 Year Old Novice Slot Class will move into The Southern Belle Invitation Breeder’s Program in 2009. This class will now be titled The Southern Belle Invitation $200,000 Three Year Old Novice Horse Class. The winner of this class will receive $100,000!
The eligibility for this class will include: a 3yo horse that MUST be an offspring of a participating Southern Belle Breeder’s Stallion, and the horse may not have earned more than $1,500 in its two year old year and earned no more than 10 points. The entry fee into this class will be $3,500 until March 15, 2009. The horse and rider should be named no later than June 15, 2009. This is absolutely the best payback deal on the market for everyone involved. We encourage you to take every opportunity to market your three year olds for this class. The best part of this change is that as breeders you can market your three year olds for this class and the winners will pay back 10% to the Breeder/StallionOwner! The Southern Belle Invitation Breeder’s Program will also host The Southern Belle Invitation $15,000 Green HUS Class in 2009. The cost of the entry fee for this class will be $750 until January 15, 2009 and will increase to $1000 after this time; slots sold the week prior to the show will be $2000. The Breeder/Stallion Owner will receive 10% of this payback on each placing.
We are also VERY excited to announce that The Southern Belle Invitation will begin a program whereby we offer Breeder’s Classes at The All American Quarter Horse Congress with our debut year being 2009! We are still finalizing plans but at this time we have confirmed we will be offering Breeder’s Class in the 2yo Open WP, 3yo Open WP, 2yo Open HUS, 3yo Open HUS, 2 yo Non Pro WP, 3 yo Non Pro WP and 3 yo Non Pro HUS. The added money and payout structure is all being worked through at present. We will continue to offer our Breeder’s Classes at our July 15 – 19, 2009 Tunica, MS show.
We will continue to search for opportunities to network The Southern Belle Breeder’s Program into larger shows to provide additional opportunities for our Breeder’s to show case their stallions and offspring.
