Win the World, Win Lots of Cash in Grand Slam Touchdown Giveaway

Circle 3 Farm, LLC. owners Susan and Ernie Groeb are putting a lot of faith in their multi-World Champion stallion, Grand Slam Touchdown…and they are backing it up with a lot of money as well!

The five year old, 16 hand Palomino son of Touchdown Kid has already proven himself in the show ring, being recently named 2008 AQHA Amateur & Open World Champion Aged Halter Stallion, AQHA Congress Champion and 4 time PHBA World Champion. The Groeb’s are certain that “Slammer” will be as successful in the breeding chute as he as been in the show pen, and they are willing to back it up with substantial cash awards.

Beginning with Grand Slam Touchdown’s 2010 foal crop, the first foal by Grand Slam Touchdown to win an AQHA Youth, Select, Amateur or Open World Championship will receive up to $50,000, and the first to win an APHA &/or ApHC (Youth, Amateur/Non-Pro & Open) World Championship will win up to $25,000. If multiple babies win in the same year at the same show, the monies will be split evenly between them.

“Grand Slam Touchdown’s first foal crop consisted of outstanding individuals, including the Go For the Gold Futurity winner GrandSlamThankUMaam. “We would like to see more of his babies in the show pen, and we feel that the potential of winning a substantial amount of money will encourage mare owners to breed to Slammer, and get those babies out where the world can see them!” says Susan Groeb, Grand Slam Touchdown’s owner. The Groeb’s just recently began showing quarter horses, both having had quarter horses while they were growing up. They have started in the halter competition and both agree this is a perfect place for people to “get their feet wet” as far as showing horses – either if you are just getting into showing horses or are trying to “dust off “your youth career memories!

The Groeb’s feel this unique and exciting promotion will ultimately help the halter industry – they note that those folks that compete in the riding classes have done a great job in creating events with large purses to encourage participation and ultimately create a great deal of excitement. That made the Groeb’s think “So why not do something exciting for the halter industry as well? We enjoy what we do and ultimately at the end of the day, want to have fun, so we think this promotion will help that happen. We foresee this being a positive for the entire halter industry – it makes foals worth more so breeders have more to gain by breeding, it helps trainers justify the value of good horses, and from an owner’s perspective, well, who wouldn’t want to take an additional $50,000 home from the AQHA World Championship show?! Or up to $25,000 from the APHA &/or ApHC World Championship Shows?” says Ernie Groeb.
