On Monday, May 18, GoHorseShow.com launched a contest in which our readers could enter to win a $2,000 gift certificate from Hannah Fine Jewelry. The contest ended at midnight on Monday, June 15 and saw a total of 20,173 total entries. The premise of the contest was for GoHorseShow.com readers to vote for their favorite ad in either the May or June issues of GoMag. Each time an ad was voted for, the person voting AND the person in the ad received an entry into the drawing to be held on Tuesday, June 16. The 2009 GoMag $2,000 Hannah Gift Certificate contest has come to a close. The votes have been tabulated and the winner has been drawn. And the winner is 17 year old Christina Berry from Wadsworth, Ohio.
Christina has been a registered reader on GoHorseShow.com since July 11, 2008. Although she voted several times throughout the month-long contest, the winning entry was a vote placed on Wednesday, June 3 at 8:53 AM in which Cristina voted for Gabrielle Lofton’s ad on page 38-39 of the June issue of GoMag. Lofton’s ad was designed by Market Street Marketing.
GoHorseShow.com was able to reach Christina Tuesday morning by phone to let her know the good news. Following a deafening scream, she responded to the news with, “Oh my gosh! Are you serious? I’m so excited! That is awesome!” After a few moments to catch her breath and collect her thoughts, Christina added, “I never win anything. Honestly, this is probably the first thing I have ever won in my life.”
When asked what she will buy with the gift certificate, she said, “I have no idea. I’ve seen Hannah’s work at the Congress and I absolutely love her jewelry. But this will be the first time I’ve ever actually been able to get anything from her. This is such a huge prize. Thank you so much and thank you to Hannah for this awesome opportunity.”
We asked Christina how many times she thought she voted throughout the contest and she thought, “maybe 5 or 6 times.” She then added, “But, I’ve been reading GoHorseShow.com since the second month it was online. I love GoMag and I love GoHorseShow. I love that you always give the facts rather than gossip and take the time to research stuff before you put it up. And I love that you always have results from the major shows. Thank you guys so much! I love GoHorseShow and I love Hannah. I am so excited!”
