The Youth World issue of GoMag is now available online, and at 122 pages, it is our biggest issue ever! Not only does the July issue feature ads from top youth who are gearing up for Oklahoma City, but the summer futurity season is heating up and the Select World will quickly follow. Our cover features 11-year-old R.J. Jacobs of Dover, Ohio, and his Aged Gelding, Im In Touch. R.J. and “Kid” were crowned Grand Champion Youth Gelding at the 2008 Congress and are ready for the Aged Geldings class at the Youth World where they won third last year.

The July cover features 11-year-old R.J. Jacobs, and his gelding, Im In Touch. R.J. and “Kid” were crowned Grand Champion Youth Gelding at the 2008 Congress and are ready for the Aged Geldings class at the Youth World where they were third last year. “Going Grand at the Congress was really cool,” said R.J. “I can’t wait to show Kid in Oklahoma City!”
“Kid is a great horse for R.J.”, says father, Randy Jacobs of Dover, Ohio. “R.J. will come to the barn and pull him out of the stall and work with him. A lot of horses I wouldn’t want him to do that with, but Kid is just that kind of a horse.”
Randy, a World and Congress Champion halter trainer, has passed his horse knowledge on to his son, and now R.J.’s mother, Holli, will have an opportunity to teach him as well. R.J. will be in her 5th grade class at Ragersville Elementary where he plays quarterback and wrestles. “Football really is his first love,” admits his father.
Randy is the co-owner of dac, a vitamin and mineral supplement company. “I have been using dac products for 20 years but R.J. always reminds me, ‘Make sure you give Kid his dac OIL, Dad!’”
