Invest N Vital Signs $200,000 AQHA World Show Bonus Program

James and Debbie Glover, together with Kristen and Wesley Galyean, of Double G Ranch LLC, announce with great anticipation the Invest N Vital Signs $200,000 AQHA World Show Bonus Program.

In looking at Invest N Vital Signs’ future, the Glover family began exploring options that would offer the best opportunities for their outstanding stallion – he has the title of the highest money earning western pleasure stallion in history, they wanted to give him the opportunity to be the leading sire of western pleasure money earners as well. They formulated the idea of a big money bonus incentive geared to the AQHA World Show and the two year old western pleasure class. After speaking with AQHA officials on the idea, the Invest N Vital Signs $200,000 AQHA World Show Bonus Program was created.

Beginning with the breeding season of 2010, foals sired by Invest N Vital Signs that show in the Two Year Old Western Pleasure at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show will be eligible for the innovative program, which will pay a $200,000 bonus to the Two Year Old Western Pleasure World Champion sired by Invest N Vital Signs. The bonus will be split between the owner and the trainer of the two year old. There are no nomination fees, no special registering, no slots to buy – it’s simply payment for performance.

Invest N Vital Signs (INVS) will be standing the 2010 season at Gumz Farms in Morganfield, Kentucky. He will be enrolled in the AQHA Incentive Fund, NSBA, Kentucky Breeders Incentive and the Tom Powers and Southern Belle futurity programs in addition to his own AQHA World Show Bonus Program.

Invest N Vital Signs, bred by the James Glover Family, is the second foal out of the legendary mare Vital Signs Are Good. His sire, Vested Pine, has sired many other greats in the western pleasure show world and proved to be a good mate for Vital Signs Are Good (aka Lucy).

While in training, the red roan stallion showed promise for the future ahead of him. He was nominated and entered into the prestigious Equine Sports Medicine $250,000 Challenge Two Year Old Maiden Western Pleasure Class at the Reichert Celebration. In August 2007, Invest N Vital Signs made his debut and loped into the history books by winning the $100,000 first place check. He was shown by Keith Whistle, who had also piloted Vital Signs Are Good to her first World Championship.

Kristen Glover (now Galyean) and Invest N Vital Signs won their first World Championship title the following week at the NSBA World Championship Show, their first time out together. At the 2007 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Kristen showed both Lucy and INVS to Congress championships. Invest N Vital Signs won the Two Year Old Non Pro Western Pleasure.

At the AQHA World Show that Fall, Kristen and Lucy won the All Around Amateur title with World Champion titles in Amateur Western Pleasure and Western Riding and Invest N Vital Signs was named Reserve World Champion Two Year Old Western Pleasure, shown by Keith Whistle.

Due to demand, the Glovers decided to stand Invest N Vital Signs at stud in 2008 to a limited book of mares. Kristen showed him at the Arizona Sun Circuit to win the Circuit Championship in Amateur Western Pleasure before he moved to the breeding barn for three months. Kristen and Invest N Vital Signs added futurity wins to his record at the Tom Powers and Southern Belle, circuit championships at Texas Classic and the Redbud Spectacular, as well as his second NSBA World Championship and the Mary Carole Heckaman Memorial Trophy in the Non Pro 3 Year Old Western Pleasure at the 2008 Reichert Celebration.

The 2008 Congress was a very special show, where Vital Signs Are Good and her son together earned 10 Congress Champion trophies, 3 buckles, 3 saddles and 2 trailers. Shows like that certainly don’t come along every day, but neither do horses like these.

Invest N Vital Signs has become the Highest Money Earning Western Pleasure Stallion of all time. His kind disposition and temperament make him a wonderful non pro show horse. “He’s so quiet and nice to be around,” says Debbie Glover. “You don’t even think about him being a stud, he’s so gentle. I would trust him with a child. And he has become a legendary show horse in his own right,” says Glover.

“We are excited about his future standing at Gumz Farms,” says Debbie Glover. Invest N Vital Signs will make an appearance at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress on Stallion Avenue, where the program will be introduced. “We think this bonus program is the most exciting idea to come to the AQHA World Show in a while and we look forward to paying $200,000 to the first Invest N Vital Signs World Champion.”
