Texas Amateur Quarter Horse Association and Big Country Quarter Horse Association invite you to Waco, Texas for the 34th Annual Texas Amateur Championship Show from April 20-25, 2010. There will be three split/combined shows which is a great opportunity to show to at least six judges. Last year there were over 4,000 entries making this one of the largest Quarter Horse shows in Texas!
In addition to a full slate of AQHA classes, the show will once again offer a multitude of joint NSBA sanctioned classes. Included in this year’s show will be a Hunter Under Saddle Futurity, along with three western pleasure NSBA Futurity classes with $500 added to each class, sponsored by Whistlestop Ranch. All exhibitors in these three pleasure futurities will also have their names entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to Blue Ribbon Custom Tack.
Don’t miss out on the fun Friday night with the exhibitor party sponsored by Terrie and Bobby Booth and Campbell’s Show Horses. There will be a drawing for a $1,500 gift certificate from Chris Pearce Show Clothes Friday night at the exhibitor party out of the youth and amateur entries. There will be 40 other lucky exhibitor draws throughout the show as well.
Mike Christian will set Hunter/Jumper courses and Tim Kimura will provide Trail patterns and set trail courses.
TAQHA is looking for a new logo so we are having a ‘Create a Logo’ contest! Put your creative side to work and you could win one free stall at either the Texas Amateur Championship Show OR The Texas Classic OR the $$$ that would be equivalent to the cost of one stall at one of these shows. Submit your logo design to the new TAQHA Facebook page or to Jamie West Genzer at [email protected] or email Jamie for a mailing address if needed. All submissions should be in by April 1, 2010. The winning design will be announced and featured at the show!
The Annual TAQHA year-end awards and Banquet will take place on Thursday night.
