With his
multiple World Championships and his unique training style, Shane Dowdy has made
his mark in this industry. Shane grew up
in Burleson, TX and has been riding horses since he was five years old. Over the years he has won almost every major
event in the pleasure horse industry. He
won his first AQHA World Championship title at the young age of twenty-three,
and has had many World Champions and Reserve World Champions, Congress
Champions, NSBA and Reichert Championships over the years.
One of Shane’s
greatest accomplishments occurred when he dominated the 2004 AQHA World shows. In 2004 Shane Dowdy Show Horses captures 6
World & Reserve World Championships. Shane swept all three Pleasure Horse world titles with CTC
Imagination in Junior Pleasure, Sweet Talking Jeannie in Senior Pleasure and Born To
Be Blazing in 2 Year Old Pleasure. In
addition, Joetta Bell won the Amateur Western Pleasure World Championship on
Sweet Talking Jeannie. Lynda Swenson won
the Select Western Pleasure World Championship on Zizzles Hot Impulse and Mike
Hershberger was the Select Western Pleasure Reserve World Champion on CTC
Imagination.
In addition
to training and winning world championships, Shane has spent a lot of his time
helping others, and giving clinics. Shane has developed a reputation for one of the
best clinics available. Shane’s clinics are more than just about Western
Pleasure. Shane brings a straight-forward no nonsense approach that works
for people of all ages and skill levels. Shane’s goal is to show people
how to understand and work with their horses and become a better trainer and rider.
Over the
years Shane has developed his own product line of training equipment that is

help his day to day training operation.
He uses all of these products daily and is now sharing these unique tools
and knowledge to help others.
Shane has refined
a unique training program over the years that has cultivated numerous World and
Congress Champions. Shane takes the time
to work with each horse individually and develop a program that suits
them. Each day is different for each
horse which has proven to work over and over.
