Quarter Horses will consign Absolute Investment, more than 80 selected
broodmares, foals, yearlings and show prospects for their complete
dispersal sale. There are now videos available for each of the horses in the sale. This gives you the chance to join the select group of

Top-5 Breeder.

After more than 30 years of breeding for herd improvement
with perfect form-to-function goals, Dan McWhirter Quarter Horses is offering
all of their mares, foals, yearlings, show prospects and the proven sire
Absolute Investment, for sale. According to the American Quarter Horse
Association in 2009 the McWhirters were ranked Top-5 Leading Breeders in four
categories; Performance Class Winners, Performance Halter Class Winners,
Performance Point Earners and Performance Halter Class Wins. For quarter
horse enthusiasts, September 18 marks a chance of a lifetime to buy some of the
best quarter horses in the country. The sale begins at 4:00 p.m. at the
Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
“We have been at the ranch in Doniphan, Nebraska, for
several days surveying the horses for the upcoming sale,” says Alan Parker, who
will auction the horses on Saturday. “We knew they would be an outstanding set
of horses, however, we have been blown away by the consistency of the quality.
Over our 45-year history in the horse business, we have had the opportunity to
visit almost every successful quarter horse breeding operation in the U.S. We
would rate this group of horses among the best.”
The leading name in the auction is Absolute Investment, a
stallion that has many progenies in the sale as well. Absolute Investment is
considered by some to have a nearly perfect conformation. His underline is
twice as long as his back. His top line is level from the withers to the croup.
He has sloping shoulders and strong hindquarters. This visual balance is
coupled with an excellent movement and kind demeanor, all of which he passes on
to his offspring. This is evident by the hundreds of points they have earned at
AQHA events and numerous reserve and grand champions and multiple World Show
Top 10 placings.
In addition to Absolute Investment, there will be 41
broodmares, four show prospects, 14 two year olds, 20 yearlings and 13
weanlings sold. Forty-five of the horses are Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund
nominated/eligible. Every AQHA point these horses earn will be paid significant
additional monies from this lucrative program.
