HOO is Only Performance Stallion to Win Seven World Titles

According to Hot Ones Only’s (HOO) owner, Sharnai Thompson, “HOO now has more World Championships than any other AQHA performance stallion with six world titles. This has been an amazing week and we are just so blessed to have him. No stallion has ever come close to what he has accomplished, and he is only 4 years-old.”

HOO’s record now ties Acoolest’s record of seven World Championships.

HOO has won two back to back World Championships in the Amateur Hunter Under saddle and Amateur Pleasure Driving. He has also world titles in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle and the two in Junior Pleasure Driving.

Thompson owned Artful Investment, the 5-time World Champion stallion who had held the most World titles for a performance stallion up until Hot Ones Only (Bruno) just broke his record. It is amazing and a testament to Sharnai and her mother, Tammy Dyer’s, talent for raising and showing high quality horses.

Sharnai says that she was a little unsure about coming back to defend his world titles in the Amateur Hunter Under Saddle and Amateur Pleasure Driving because he has hardly been shown all year. “I’m glad I came back and showed him though,” Sharnai says when talking about Bruno. “It all worked out for the best, and we ended up winning both classes again this year.”

At 4 years-old, Bruno has already amassed 10 Congress titles and six world championships with the open part of the World Show yet to go. He is also the highest earning hunt seat stallion ever earning over $100,000. HOO who is by Invitation Only out of a Thoroughbred mare was purchased by Sharnai when Bruno was still in his mother’s belly. “I am so proud of what he has accomplished. We raised him, so it makes it even more special.”

During this past breeding season, HOO was in hot demand and he was booked full to a variety of different types of mares; from World Champion pleasure, hunters, and all-around type mares.

“HOO currently has a weanling foal crop on the ground (one foal pictured right), and we are currently trying to find out which types of mares he crosses the best with–but I have the feeling that he will be able to cross with all different types of mares. With the breeding industry taking a huge hit and times being hard for many, we are thankful that many mare owners are coming to us to breed their great mares,” Sharnai said.

Hot Ones Only’s
breeding fee for 2011 will be $2000.00, and he will be standing at High Point Performance Horses in Pilot Point, Texas. Check out the link for more information on this outstanding stallion.

With the Open World Show just under way, HOO will probably break his own record of six world championships, but we will just have to wait and see. GoHorseShow.com congratulates Sharnai Thompson, Beth Case, and Jason Martin and Charlie Cole of High Point Performance Horses on a job well done.

FUN Trivia:

Did you know that Bruno has hardly ever worn shoes, and he has only been shown barefoot. High point trainer, Beth Case is a big advocate of horses being barefoot unless they have feet problems. Bruno had shoes put on once when he was 2 Years-old, but Sharnai said that he didn’t like them. “It was like a toddler learning how to walk or someone trying to learn to walk in high heels. He didn’t like them, so we took them off and he has been barefoot ever since.”
