VS Code Red Makes A Move

VS Code Red has moved to High Point Performance Horses in Pilot Point, Texas, where he will stand at stud while being shown in Junior Western Riding.

The son of Vital Signs Are Good and Blazing Hot, VS Code Red made his mark by winning three Congress titles in the Two Year Old Western Pleasure Open and Non Pro Divisions in 2009. The demand for him was so strong following the unprecedented wins, the young red roan stallion owned by the Glover Family moved to Gumz Farms to stand at stud. He stood to a full book of mares in 2010 and was preparing for the 2011 breeding season at Gumz Farms in Kentucky when a change of plans occurred.

Owners Kristen Glover Galyean and Jim and Debbie Glover decided that the talented stallion should head to the show ring. The stallion had spent the end of the 2010 summer at home with Kristen, where she began working with him on lead changes, sparking the idea of showing him again. The timing of the plan to show him while accommodating the 2011 breeding season resulted in the selection of High Point Performance Horses. “High Point will be able to handle the breeding while training and showing Waylon,” explained Debbie Glover. “We have been so very happy with Gumz Farms and their service, but to do both (show and breed), we felt High Point was the answer. We are all eager to have him showing but couldn’t neglect the breeding business. The timing just all came together suddenly and Amy (Gumz) has been very supportive of our decision. We are all very excited to see Waylon back in the show pen.
