Invitation Only Celebrates Five Years at Number One

In an amazing feat–the 21 Year-old gorgeous brown stallion, Invitation Only, is the number one leading performance sire of all divisions for the fifth year in a row.

What exactly does that mean? It means that for the past five years he is the sire of  the most point-earners in all Youth, Amateur, and Open Performance events.  Five years.  The streal dates all the way back to January, 2006. That’s 1825 days, 43,829 hours and over 157 million seconds.

Invy is also the number one sire of performance winners. Additionally, he also is the All-Time Leading Sire of Money Earners for NSBA and he was inducted into the NSBA Hall of Fame in 2008.

What is also staggering is that he is the all time leading sire of money earned–with over $2.4 million in earnings and also a sire of 210 Congress Championships, World Championships and Reserve Championships; sire of 760 ROMs, 220 Superiors, 552 winners, and over 47,000 points earned by his offspring! He has a total of 1,162 foals of which 659 of them have been performers.

Invy has also made his mark in the halter arena. For 2010, this record breaking stallion is the leading Youth point earner in halter as well as the top sire of point earners in the Open, Amateur, and Youth Performance Halter classes.

Debbi Trubee, who is the general breeding manager along with Roger Landis of Pine View Farm said that Invy is still going strong. “Even at his old age when he lopes across the pen you know exactly why
he has made such an impact on the Quarter Horse industry. He still takes
your breath away when he lopes off,” she said. “He is standing for a private treaty to a limited book of mares this year.”

While Invy will mainly be known as a great sire, he was also an elite show horse in his futurity years. He received 42 points in the western pleasure and was third in the Two Year-old Snaffle Bit at the World Show in 1992. He also placed in the Top 10 in the Junior Western Pleasure at the AQHA World Show a year later.

On a funny note, Trubee mentions that, “Invy is picky when it comes to his tease mare–he will look at us like….seriously, that’s what you brought me?”

But all kidding aside, Debbi says that, “He is a perfect gentleman and is an extraordinarily kind horse. He knows he’s famous and we always joke about Elvis being in the house. His favorite treat is peppermints. He will just stop whatever he’s doing when he hears the cellophane crinkle and come right over!”

Sounds like Invy has earned his keep and can have all the peppermints he wants! Congratulations to Mike and Chelle Farina of Pine View Farm on the phenomenal success of their stallion, and GoHorseShow.com looks forward to reporting on the future success of his babies.
