The first weekend in March, many of us congregated at the AQHA annual convention held this year in Grapevine, Texas. While many of the industry’s leaders and members of the Association gathered to attend committee meetings, it was also time to honor AQHA’s high point winners from 2010.
We enjoyed visiting with many of the year’s honor roll winners, many of whom we saw throughout the year in various issues of GoMag. The April issue of GoMag celebrates winners from last year, including its cover girl, Chelsea Martz. We are excited by everything 2011 has in store including new high point races and wish the very best of luck to everyone in 2011.

About The Cover
Chelsea Martz and Eyell Be Outrageous became a team in August of 2009. In 2010, the pair started with the goal of becoming the AQHA Amateur Rookie of the Year. The quest that began in Florida took them through the Midwest and ultimately ended in Oklahoma. Along the way they won many circuit and all around awards, including top ten finishes at the 2010 All American Quarter Horse Congress and the AQHA Amateur World Show. By the end of the year, they realized their dream and won the Amateur Rookie of the Year title.
Chelsea attributes both her and Rosie’s success to the outstanding guidance and talent of her trainers, Judd and Jennifer Paul. Jennifer was the Junior Trail Reserve World Champion in 2008 with Rosie and added to the success of this great mare with a top-five finish at the 2010 AQHA World Show in Senior Trail.
In 2011 and beyond, watch for Chelsea and Eyell Be Outrageous in Amateur All-Around events, as well as Shes Just A Rumor in Amateur Trail and Onlythebestchocolate in Amateur Western Pleasure.
