UPDATE: Marlow Wins Novice Youth All-Around and Res 13 & Under

GoHorseShow found out from Alex Marlow’s trainer, Reid Thomas of Corpus Christi, Texas, that Alex not only won SEVEN World Championship titles but she also won the Novice Youth All Around and Reserve 13 & U All Around at the APHA Youth World Show. Thomas sent us a special message that he would like to share with everyone about this special team.

From Reid Thomas–7/2/2011–You know every trainer has a horse and trains a kid…but on rare occasions you get to witness real magic…when it all comes so natural…Alex and Shorty have an indescribable bond, and Shorty gives 500% all the time! He is such a show horse, you have to let him tell you the next move sometimes…that’s my favorite part of the magic, understanding an animal enough to allow them to be a part of his training routine! I had set a goal of 3 world champs and one reserve…we surpassed my goal!

I would like to thank Terry Cross and The Chant Family for selling us this once in a lifetime horse, my mentors, my assistant, Heather Mozingo, those that make us stronger, Parents Jackie and Mark for trusting my plan and chess moves, Cameron for all the support, and Alex for riding each stride to accomplish this dream.

I witnessed more at this show than usual, life is one big canvas, there are so many types of painters…I want thank those who supported my work of art. Thank you APHA and judges for appreciating what is always so special to me, Shorty and Alex!
