Harris Leather Unveils Brand New Mobile Showroom at Reichert

The brand new, 53 foot Harris Leather and Silverworks mobile showroom pulled
into the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth and it has
created quite a buzz. Five feet
longer and much higher and wider than their former rig, the new showroom is
eye-catching, jaw-dropping and absolutely sets the standard in our industry.

“Our new Super Trailer and Super Truck has created quite a
stir, that’s for sure,” said Phil Harris, owner of Harris Leather and
Silverworks. “It is bigger and
better and definitely takes us to the next level. We are just thrilled with it
and we believe it makes a statement to our industry that we take our business
very seriously.”

The Harris family has been working on their new mobile
showroom for over three years. “It has been a long process and has been as
challenging as building a new house, but it has definitely been worth the
effort,” Harris told GoHorseShow.com.

The new rig is state-of-the-art and relies on technology derived from their
Southern roots. “We decided a couple of years ago that the existing rig was
going to need to be replaced. Being from North Carolina, we are in the heart of
NASCAR country so it made perfect sense for us to custom design a Featherlite
Transporter like the NASCAR teams have.”

In addition to the new rig being larger, it also provides 53
feet of overhead storage that is accessed by a hydraulic lift gate. NASCAR teams use this area to store
their cars, but Harris will use the space to carry more inventory. More inventory
translates into a better customer experience.

“The new rig will allow us to service our customers better
which is very important to us,” Harris says. “We have more storage and that means we get to bring almost
everything we have to the horse show.
It is all about servicing our customers and the new rig will allow us to
do that.”Additionally, a 21-foot slide-out makes for more interior floor space. The
aisle is now wide enough that customers can pass through all of the saddles
easily.  There’s also a
seven-foot workroom in the back for repairs that need to be done at the shows. One of the biggest and best changes is the massive exterior
awning.

“One of the best features and one that everyone will enjoy
the most is the new awning. It
gives us much more square footage and it will protect all of the products that
we display outdoors.”

The Harris family encourages everyone to come see their new
rig at the Reichert this week. “Even if you
don’t need anything, we’d love you to come take a look,” said Phil.

And for those who think saddle prices will actually go up to
pay for the new rig? Harris chuckles and assures everyone that,  “We actually need to sell more saddles to pay for this so you might be able to find a pretty good deal!”
