Congress: Day 16: (Pictured right) Time to go home. Did I REALLY bring this much stuff ??
Congress Day 15:
I had to add this photo . There was a wagon full of bulldog puppies looking for new homes and I just had to hold as many as I could! |
Congress Day 14: I joined a few friends for a quick break at
the back gate: Leonard Berryhill, Clark Parker, Orin Barnes and Murray Griggs.
Lots of laughs here!
Congress Day 13: I’m hanging out on the slide on the fairgrounds with Kelly Hinley who runs the horse training operation, Trendsetters, near Los Angeles, California. We are really not allowed on the slide—oh well!
Congress Day 12: After 12 days I finally find my friend LuAnn Knost and canine super-star, Katie. I am really missing my own pups!
Congress: Day 10: Ole Yeller meets up with new Whitey Wheels. Jerry Erickson has been putting the miles on Yeller ( rain or shine), while I’ve been staying high and dry.
Congress Day 9 : Baseball great, (2-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher for the Phillies) Roy Halladay brought his wife, Brandy,
to shop for a new horse with The Horse Source! He graciously signed a
few autographs and gave me a great photo op.
Congress Day 8: The rain has stopped and we won’t have to worry about the dust today. Squish- squish. Well, the picture kinda speaks for itself.
Congress Day 7: A champion’s face is always happy! Congrats to Congress Champion Adam Wainscott winner in Junior Western Pleasure aboard Huntin Big Dreams. How great is that! I introduced Adam to his fiancee, Alyssa.
Congress Day 6: No more rainy day blues: Mathew Barrackman, his Mom, his trainer (on left) Rhonda Graff, back at stalls after winning Novice Youth 14-18 Western Pleasure on Amblin Impulsion (yes, bought through The Horse Source).
Congress Day 5: Visiting the Sweet Shop on food alley. Hungry!! Owner of Sweet Shop, Barb Johnson & me.
Congress Day 4: NSBA Foundation Reception–Denny Thorsell & Dianne Eppers. The NSBA Foundation is their umbrella for NSBA Crisis Fund, Scholarship fund and Riders With Disabilities. They are also developing a program for veterans called Heroes On Horses.
Congress Day 3: Visiting with McDowall Quarter Horses. We are in front of Kelly McDowall’s stall decorations which he built himself, then hauled out here and put up.
Congress Day 2: Lunch with Chef (and trainer) Greg Wheat. Yummmmm, delicious ham n beans! Greg Wheat cooks a meal in his tack room almost every day.
Congress Day 1: Congress has started!! It’s already a little cold and a little wet, but I’m prepared. Here I am with with my “waterproof” golf cart.
