Fort Worth, TX – Appaloosa World Championship Show—What a day for WAHNA WIN endorsers Terry Sartain, Ted Turner and Sean Schembri who dominated today’s Open Fillies and Mares at Halter at the Appaloosa World Show.
Terry Sartain was unstoppable as he started the morning winning the Open Yearling Fillies with “Ginger Hustles Vegas”. “Tinsel”, as she’s known around the barn, is a member of the Schembri breeding legacy, out of an Appaloosa multiple World Champion producing dam, Private Remarks, that Schembri bred and owned years ago, who later became a part of the Dubai To Vegas Equine breeding program in 2009. Prior to purchasing “Invest In My Pizzazz” in late spring of 2009, D2VE bred “Private Remarks” (ApHC) to “Mr. Yella Fella” (AQHA), the result – this outstanding filly that Terry exhibited today to the win. “Tinsel” is a lifelong WAHNA WIN benefactor having a dose three days per week since she moved up to the training barn plus a generous spray just prior to entering the show pen. New owner Billy Hegedus couldn’t be more pleased with how she is fit and groomed at Char-O-Lot as he won Reserve World Champion in the Non-Pro class a few days ago. A great way to start the day.
Terry followed up with an immediate repeat to win the World Championship in the Open Two Year Old Mare with “Made Me Very Cool” owned by Steve Dal Porto of California.
Ted Turner Jr., also a WAHNA WIN endorser and user for many years, took the Open Three Year Old Mares with “So Envious” owned by Kagle and Raak out of Rosemont, Minnesota.
But Terry kept up the pressure in the Open Aged Mares and came back with arguably the very best competitive Appaloosa mare in the country right now, “Tell Me Why’ owned by Debbie Bonnell- Mignosi and Kara Kaufmann. What a stunning mare she is. The judges agreed with a unanimous decision. If you’ve followed this mare at the big shows, she continues to improve and her achievements prove that she’s the real deal. Terry majestically handled her straight to the victory. We are hoping that Debbie and Kara are basking in their success as Debbie exhibited the mare to the win in the Non-Pro division herself on Tuesday of this week. Great job. Her smile is not just due to her win but is always present as she is a great competitor and such a lovely addition to the show community.
Sean Schembri topped off the morning in the Open Broodmares class exhibiting “Vegas Classic Style”, a 3 year old Palomino mare with a white snowflake blanket that cascades romantically over her rump as is Appaloosa fashion. Making an elegant and magical entrance into the pen with Sean Schembri leading the way it was a pretty easy call for all four judges who agreed that this mare was the top pick and awarded her a unanimous four firsts to take the World Championship title. Just as she floated into the ring, she playfully pranced out, Sean with trophy in hand. This uniquely animated and decidedly graceful moving mare really stood out today as quality always does. That WAHNA WIN Complete Coat Care shine didn’t hurt a bit but “Classy” is a long time WAHNA WIN recipient and her rich, golden hair-coat benefits from Complete Coat Care’s non-greasy and non-oily emollients that make it a must have in the grooming bag.
We WAHNA congratulate all the WAHNA WIN users of both Complete Coat Care and Super Fly as the Appaloosa World Show begins its final days. The top ten in both halter and the riding classes are all dotted with WAHNA WIN users and fans. We can’t keep up with the growing following of devoted users. We are so pleased that our products and our people enjoy such tremendous success. Keep up the good work everybody!! Tomorrow is another round of tough competition.
