Another Earthquake Shakes Oklahoma City Magnitude of 4.7

GoHorseShow talked to trainer Adam Wainscott who was watching the Senior Barrels when the last earthquake happened.

“We were all sitting in the stands watching the Senior Barrels and all of a sudden Charlie (Cole) was behind us and said, ‘that’s an earthquake’ and I at first thought he was shaking the back of our seats as a joke,” he says. “When I looked around and noticed the lights and speakers in the ceiling moving–that’s when I got a little nervous. It is one of the weirdest feelings I have ever experienced. It was really so crazy.”

OKLAHOMA CITY -A 4.7 magnitude earthquake shook Oklahoma again at 8:46 p.m. Monday. This is the third large earthquake that rattled the Sooner State in just three days.

Strongest Earthquake Ever Rocks Oklahoma
There have been recent reports of another larger earthquake in Oklahoma City with a magnitude of 5.6! Here is the recent reports from local Oklahoma City News Channel 9. We will update the story as more information comes in from the local news stations. There were also reports that the Color Breed Congress going on in Tulsa, Oklahoma stopped a class when the earthquake hit. If the 5.6-magnitude report holds, it would make Saturday night’s earthquake the strongest in Oklahoma history.
Amateur World Champion Lori Bucholz told GoHorseShow what the earthquake felt like when she was practicing for her pleasure driving class at the World Show in Oklahoma City. “It sounded and felt like a train was near first, then the ground started shaking-a little at first-then more-and it got louder,” Lori said. “Didn’t seem to bother horses as much as the people-we were practicing the driving in the Norick, but people did say horses were whinnying back in the barns.”
