Whatscookngoodlookin Sells to Roberts Family

GoHorseShow would like to thank Rusty and Katie Green for letting us know that multiple Congress Champion, Whatscookngoodlookin, has been sold to youth exhibitor Hillary Roberts of Edmond, Oklahoma. The coming four year-old affectionately known as, Candy, is by A Good Machine and out of A Cooki For Certain. Candy and Rusty Green are undefeated in every two and three-year-old futurity they have competed in the past two years. Quite a streak!

“She is a very beautiful mare and a once-in-a-lifetime horse,” trainer Katie Green tells GoHorseShow. “She is a great mover, a little spunky, but loves her job.”

Last year at the Congress, owner Ray Arnona of New Orleans, Louisiana won the Two Year-Old Limited Non Pro at the Congress and Rusty won the Two Year-Old Open last year and the Southern Belle Three Year-Old Open Futurity Western Pleasure classes at the Congress this year. Candy was not shown at the AQHA World Show in the Two Year-Old Western Pleasure because Rusty Green was one of the judges that year.

Sixteen year-old Hillary Roberts says she is very excited to have her own pleasure horse for this up coming year. “I showed my mother’s horse, Only Ever After, in the pleasure classes this year and was top five at the Youth World, but Rusty and Katie thought I should get my own horse– so, my mom and I didn’t have to share,” Roberts says. “Ray wanted to keep Candy in the barn so after the World Show my parents worked out a deal to buy her for me.”

Roberts adds, “I am so thankful to be able to show a pleasure mare like her,” she says. “I have ridden her twice so far and I’m heading to ride her again this weekend. I love everything about her and I look forward to getting her qualified for the Youth World for next year.”

This new team will debut at the Sun Circuit in Scottsdale, Arizona early next year. Roberts also shows in the all-around events with Chrome On My Zipper under the guidance of Butch and Patty Campbell. Hillary says she would like to thank her parents, Blair and Susan Roberts, Butch and Patty Campbell, Ray Arnona, and the Green Team for helping make this new team possible.
