Heroes For Horses: Nominate An Unsung Hero in Your Community

GoHorseShow.com readers love underdog stories and we enjoy recognizing people who give their time and money to the horse community and often go unrecognized.  Inspired by the television show CNN Heroes, where people nominate individuals who make a positive difference in our world, GoHorseShow wants to acknowledge people who are making a difference within our horse show world through our Heroes for Horses award.

We would like to encourage our readers to nominate an individual in our industry. Do you know someone who gives their time and is making a positive difference by volunteering with horses? Their volunteering could be at shows, through horse rescue, therapeutic riding programs, or programs involving troubled children and horses.

GoHorseShow will screen the nominated individuals and choose unsung heroes to feature in articles throughout the year.  Ultimately, our readers will be able to vote for who they think is most deserving of the GoHorseShow.com Horses For Heroes award.

There are many individuals in our readers’ local communities who we are unaware of their contributions to the horse industry, and we would like to know about them. So, put your on your thinking caps and let us know of someone deserving to be featured and recognized as a Hero for Horses. Please email GoHorseShow reporter, Laura Gilmer at [email protected] and tell her about the person you are nominating and why this person should be recognized.

Thanks to photographer Emily Peak for letting us use one of her fabulous photos.
