February is a wonderful month in the horse show world; babies are being
born, mare owners are choosing who to breed to and exhibitors are
dusting off their hats and heading to shows. The February issue of GoMag
features great stallions, baby pictures and ads for some of the best
horse show teams in the country. Thank you to all of our advertisers for making this a great month.
About The Cover
VS Code Red made a smashing debut at the 2009 Congress as the first horse to win the Non Pro and the Open Divisions of the Two Year Old Western Pleasure, shown by his non pro owner Kristen Glover Galyean.
Charlie Cole, of High Point Performance Horses, showed Waylon at just a few shows to qualify him for the 2011 AQHA World Show in Junior Western Riding. The stallion’s quiet disposition and easy attitude made the training and breeding work together without difficulty. At the 2011 Congress, he swept the Junior Western Riding under all four judges and was Congress Champion in Green Western Riding. “Flawless,” said his trainer and pilot, Charlie Cole.
Kristen says “Waylon is proving to carry on that something special that his dam, Vital Signs Are Good, gives her foals, including natural ability and talent.” The first foals by VS Code Red were born in 2011 and the 2012 foals have begun arriving. You can find photos of many of them on his facebook page.
VS Code Red is qualified for the 2012 World Show in Junior Western Riding. He stands at High Point Performance Horses in Pilot Point, Texas. For breeding information contact Christi Christensen at High Point, 940-440-2006. www.vscodered.com
