BSB Quarter Horses is excited to announce that APHA and AQHA double registered stallion, Charlie Hilfiger (Sir Charles), was purchased by Bauer & Gooding Show Horses of Fennville, Michigan.
“I have had a few of his offspring in the past, and it just so happened that we had six all at once last year,” one of the new owners, trainer Garth Gooding told GoHorseShow. “There wasn’t one of his babies we didn’t like and we had already been breeding some mares to him, so it made sense to go ahead and buy him.”
Gooding adds, “We are looking forward to promoting him more and breeding our quality personal mares to him, and I think the girls at BSB are looking forward to this new chapter in his breeding career.”
Charlie Hilfiger’s former owner, Donnie Barnes of Chapel Hill, North Carolina decided he no longer wanted to be involved in the horse industry, so, BSB Quarter Horses which includes, Hedy Levin, Kim Rotenberry, and Shelly Donovan contacted Garth Gooding about purchasing this APHA World Champion stallion. The girls at BSB only had one request–that Sir Charles be able to stay at their farm located in Sturgis, Michigan since they consider him a part of the family. Luckily, everyone agreed to those terms.
