AQHA/APHA World Champion Knowtorious/Predictably Perfect Passes

GoHorseShow is sad to report that multiple AQHA/APHA World Champion, Knowtorious/Predictably Perfect (jaXon), has passed away due to degenerative joint disease. The 2001 sorrel gelding by Jacks Are Lucky Too and out of Ms Hotrod Invester was owned by Susan Wilson of Ramona, California. Wilson’s trainer, Charlie Cole, of Highpoint Performance Horses says that despite their best efforts, they were unable to keep him comfortable enough to live in a pasture.

An emotional Wilson took the time to speak to GoHorseShow. “He touched so many people’s lives and made many dreams come true. He was so very special to me in more ways than I can describe; but most of all because of the bond created between him, me and my sister Pam,” Susan told GoHorseShow. “He brought back her love of showing horses and it meant the world to me. I miss him and love him more than words can express.”

Cole remembers jaXon very fondly, “He was just an amazing horse. He was the sweetest
horse–always happy and goofy like a huge puppy dog. Unfortunately, he
is gone way too soon. Last year at the Congress, Jason and jaXon were
Reserve in the Senior Trail and then at the AQHA World Show, he was
fourth in the Senior Western Riding and scored a 229. He was such a
talented horse, and I just choke up thinking about how much Susan loved
him.”

GoHorseShow recently featured Wilson and jaXon in an article about winning the 2011 AQHA Amateur High Point Western Riding title. Wilson mentioned in the previous article that one of her favorite memories with jaXon came at the 2010 AQHA Select World Show.

“It was the day we were World Champions in both Horsemanship and Hunt Seat Equitation at the 2010 AQHA Select World Show, and, then, went on to win the Select Amateur All-Around,” Wilson recalls. “That was the ‘icing’ on my show career cake.”

Cole also remembers the day that he, Jason Martin, and Susan went and
tried him out at a farm nearby. “I remember riding him, and I was so
excited when I got off him,” he remembers. “I told Susan that whatever
it took that she had to buy this horse. There was something special
about him, and he never disappointed. He got better and better and he
could compete with the best. He wasn’t the best mover, but, he would
always step up and compete with anyone.”

Former owner, Alexie Estrada of Cool, California (pictured left), was very successful with jaXon who was double registered AQHA and APHA. The all-around gelding was known by his APHA registered name, Predictably Perfect. In 2009, at the APHA Youth World Show, Alexie and jAXon were World Champions in the 14-18 Youth Hunter Hack, Reserve World Champions in the Equitation, Western Riding, and Horsemanship, and they were the All-Around 14-18. They also won the coveted year-end title of #1 Youth 14-18 in the nation under the supervision of James Saubolle of Elite Show Horses.

“He was truly a once-in-a-lifetime horse,” former trainer, James Saubolle stated. “He made so many peoples’ dreams come true. He always gave his all and had such a magnetic personality. I feel blessed to have been able to be apart of his life. Jaxie, thank you for the rides and for being in my life.”

Previous owner, Estrada, is also devastated by his death. “The industry lost a phenomenal horse. I thank my lucky stars every night that I was given the incredible opportunity to experience a remarkable life-changing relationship and journey with such a talented, loyal and kind-hearted animal,” Estrada says. “Rest in peace jaXon. Forever my best friend, forever my other half, forever predictably perfect.” (Photo © KC Montgomery)
