Rodrock’s Only In Moonlite Sires Masters Pleasure Champion

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Angie Rigdon Cannizzaro of Purcell, Oklahoma on winning the Two Year-Old Masters Western Pleasure Class with Moonlite Ventures. The team came home with a check for $75,000! The 2010 bay mare is by Only In The Moonlite (Moonie) and out of Impulsive Venture. Only In The Moonlite is owned by Darol Rodrock of Bucyrus, Kansas, and this pleasure sire is one of the hottest up-and-coming stallions breeding today.

Moonie has already sired other 2012 Congress Western Pleasure Champions. Blazing Moonlite and Megan McMullen were the Three Year-Old Non Limited Champions and Twist of Moonlite and Casey Willis won the Two Year-Old Limited Stakes. Also, in the Two Year-Old Masters–Its A Southern Thing and Shane Dowdy were fourth and WSR Flymetothemoon and Jeff Long and Liz Barnard Hay were ninth.

Rodrock adds, “We are so proud of the exhibitors that have done so well with our stallions’ offspring. We think the best years are ahead for the battery of stallions that we have and we invite everyone to look at the discount breeding fees we are offering this year.”

“The trainers are saying they have great minds and are great movers–look at the sire and dam….how could they not? It’s a magical combination and it looks like they’re passing that on to the babies,” says Rodrock Breeding Manager Kim Dean about the stallion, Only In The Moonlite. “We really appreciate all of the support the mare owners are giving us by breeding such nice mares and for the trainers for pointing them in our direction as the place to send their mares. Darol has an amazing set of stallions that I feel very fortunate to be able to work with–they sell themselves!”

Only In the Moonlite’s breeding fee for next year is only $995.00. Call Kim Dean for more details at 903-815-3347. Click here to check out their ad in the Congress issue of GoMag.

The Reserve Champion was Rewind and Repeat ridden by Brian Cox. The 2010 bay gelding is by Repeated in Red and out of Sweet On Occasion and owned by Allen and Marilyn Wade of Rochester, Indiana. Repeated in Red was also the sire of Smarty Brown who was this year’s Congress All Around Open Champion!
