Due to the overwhelming response to VS Flatline (Kobe), the Glover/Galyean family has decided to stand him to a limited book of mares in 2013. The 2012 AQHA World Champion by Lazy Loper and out of Vital Signs Are Good, will stand alongside his brother, VS Code Red at Highpoint Performance Horses in Pilot Point, Texas. “We already have people signing up to ensure their breeding,” Kristen Galyean told GoHorseShow.com Thursday morning. “I have had so many mare owners call and email me that I decided it would be the best opportunity for him as a sire if we decided to breed him to a select group of mares this year. I encourage all the people interested in breeding to him to call and book early because he is only standing to a small number this year.”
Galyean intends to show VS Flatline as a three year-old, but is still fine tuning his plans for 2013.
“I haven’t decided all the details yet and the number of mares he will be breeding this year, but I just wanted to get the word out that we will be standing him this year,” Galyean says. “He is such an amazing individual, and I look forward to seeing him succeed in the breeding arena as well.”
VS Flatline had an impressive show season in 2012. He was Reserve Reichert Champion in the Two Year-Old Challenge, Congress Two Year-Old Stakes and Non Pro Western Pleasure Champion as well as just winning the 2012 AQHA World Championship in the Two Year-Old Western Pleasure with Jay Starnes in the saddle.
VS Flatline’s breeding fee will be $2500 with the $500 chute fee included. For breeding information, contact Christi Christensen with Highpoint Performance Horses at 903-816-1428.
