The Virginia Quarter Horse Classic was just held April 11th through the 15th at the gorgeous, Virginia Horse Park that is located in Lexington, Virginia. The Rock Star managed show was a huge success with 6600 total entries and a total of six sets of points. The judges for the show were Randy Alderson, Nancy Swarm, Andrea Simons, Tina Anderson, Laura Gilmer, Doug Huls, Louis Hufnagel, Daren Wright, Dolly Chayer, John and Betsy Tuckey, and Tanya Green.
“I had a great time, and I worked with a great group of judges,” says Daren Wright, who judged on Saturday and Sunday. “These types of shows are so fun to judge because we get to see such talented and high quality horses in all of the events from the trail to the hunter under saddle.”
The show had Tim “The Trail Man” Kimura running the trail, western riding, and pattern classes in the East Complex. The first ever Harris Versatility Challenge Class was won by MWS Sevens Are Hot and Ryan Cottingham while the premier event, The Hylton Maiden Class was won by Jay Starnes and Zip By Machine.
