For Lori Watkins at Black Creek Crossing, excitement is building as the 2013 foals start to arrive and breeding season is in full swing. Featured on the cover is their outstanding stallion, Vested Pine, who was welcomed into the Watkins’ family in 2006 and moved to Cooper Quarter Horses in Georgia in late 2010. “The move has proven to be wonderful for our stallions and great for the mare owners,” says Lori Watkins.

Sired by The Invester and out of Zippos Bay Lady, Congress Champion Vested Pine has certainly made his mark as a sire. He has sired 71 AQHA point earners who have earned over 7,500 points, 45 Performance ROMs and 14 Superior Awards.

Among the most noted of his offspring is Vested Faith. Considered one of the finest pleasure horse mares in AQHA history, she earned over 1,200 AQHA points, was the NSBA Horse of the Year in 2003, an AQHYA World Champion in Western Pleasure and the AQHA Reserve World Champion in Junior Western Pleasure. She is also in the NSBA Hall of Fame.

Vested Pine has sired over nine World and Reserve World Champions including: Britney Pine, AQHA World Champion in Junior Western Pleasure as well as Reserve World Champion in Amateur Western Pleasure and Senior Western Pleasure; I Gotta Good Name, AQHA World Champion in Senior Trail and A Classy Pine, AQHA Reserve World Champion 2YO WP. Vested Wishes was the 2005 Congress 2YO Open Western Pleasure Champion.
