AQHA Judge Johnny Mack Sanders Passes

Johnny Mack Sanders, 67, a horse trainer and AQHA/APHA judge, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31st at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage. Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Freeny Baptist Church with Bro. Shannon Hall, Bro. Marcus Canoy, and Johnny Barranco officiating. The body will lie in-state at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be in the Caldwell (Freeny) Cemetery.

Johnny Mack was a native of Leake County and a member of Freeny Baptist Church. He was a member of the Mississippi Quarter Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and National Cutting Horse Association. He was past president of Mississippi Quarter Horse Association and the Magnolia Cutting Horse Association.
