The 49th annual Dixie National Quarter Horse Show is in the books. “The Southern Classic” was held February 12th-18th at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds in Jackson, Mississippi. There was over $100,000 in added money and prizes including Harris Leather and Silverworks saddles for High Points Awards and the Small Fry Walk Trot Winner. The Freestyle Reining showed to a packed house as well as there were good sized, roping, timed event classes, western pleasure, pattern classes, and halter classes. The judges for the show were Casey Devitt, John Boxell, Lance Treptow, Bobby Harrison, Greg Hale, Doug Huls, Laura Gilmer, Betsy Tuckey, and Bob Kail.
