The March 2014 issue of GoMag is dedicated to one of our favorite times of the year, Breeding and Foaling. For many people, March is all about Spring Break or college basketball’s March Madness. But in our horse world, the month of March is when babies are born and mares are being bred. And if you’re not too busy breeding, you’re dusting off your show clothes and hoping your chaps still fit as you plan your show schedule for the year. After one of the roughest winters in a long time, we all look forward to March 20, the first day of Spring.

Pine Meadow Quarter Horses and owner, Olivia Hoecker, enjoyed an unforgettable 2013. They head into another exciting and successful season with their stallions; Hotroddin Zippo, Strutin On The Range, My Favorite Zippo and Mr Notibily Zippo.

With phenomenal foals both on the ground and in the show ring, Hotroddin Zippo has produced some of the top horses to enter the industry. “Hollywood,” a chestnut stallion by Zips Chocolate Chip and out of The Sweet Hotrodder, is a multiple All American Quarter Horse Congress Champion as well as an AQHA World Champion in Junior Western Pleasure. Hollywood has certainly made a name for himself with successful offspring such as: HRZ Make Mine Gold, Sweet Movin Hotrod, HRZ Hes Invited and Hotrods N The House, just to name a few.

Also pictured on the cover is the newest addition to the Pine Meadow stallion line up, Strutin On the Range, a 2008 red roan stallion by Open Range and out of Time For Kathy. “Ranger” is a Congress Champion in Green Western Pleasure, Reserve Congress Champion in Junior Western Pleasure and was Top-3 at the AQHA World Championship Show in the Junior Western Pleasure with Jay Starnes.

Pine Meadow also stands a son of Hotroddin Zippo, My Favorite Zippo, who is a 2003 chestnut stallion out of My Favorite Hotrod. “Rod” has a Superior in Western Pleasure and his first foals were born in 2010.

All stallions stand at Pine Meadow Quarter Horses in Reddick, Florida.

With a remarkable past and a promising future, owner Olivia Hoecker is excited about the future of Pine Meadow Quarter Horses and has a lot in store for the 2014 season.
