Our industry has come together to support one another through triumph and tragedy, and today, our friend Amy Gumz is calling on the industry to help Congress and World Champion exhibitor Meghan Tierney (MT Company Quarter Horses) amid her declining health.
“Meg” has supported our industry for many years as an owner, breeder, and exhibitor, and through her management with The Virginia Maiden. She continues to love and support our industry, and it is with deep sadness that she has decided to take a step back and focus on her healing.
“Unfortunately, Meg has been struggling with her health, and she has been forced to take some time away,” Gumz explains. “It is my goal to assist her in finding the best homes for these great horses, while ensuring that the proceeds from the sales go back to Meg to support her through this difficult time.”
Gumz has devised a small dispersal of Meg’s breeding stock and foals, which will be offered for sale by written bids. According to Gumz, there will be no pre-sales, and ALL horses listed will be sold to the highest bidders without reserve. Bids may not be placed orally, by phone, by text, or via social media. The only bidding accepted will be those bids emailed to Amy directly at [email protected]. Bidding will close on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. EST.
It is important to note that Pretty Assets “Lacey” (pictured above) is not for sale now; however, she will have four offspring available during this small dispersal. The six available horses include the following:
- 2024 Filly (VS Code Red x Pretty Assets);
- 2024 Filly (What Matters Most x Pretty Assets);
- First Recipient mare carrying 2025 foal (Good Better Best x Pretty Assets);
- Second Recipient mare carrying 2025 foal (Good Better Best x Pretty Assets);
- Bedecked And Bedazzled; 2012 Mare (Its All About Blue x Duplicated Girl); in foal to Outlaw Enterprise for a 2025 foal;
- Im Flashy No Doubt (pictured here); 2021 Mare (No Doubt I’m Lazy x PHQ Good N Flashy); currently in training under saddle and nearing show-ready.
Gumz is happy to field questions, provide prior medical examination information, confirm pregnancies, and make horses available for PPEs as needed. She requests that all inquiries be directed to her at this time.
We at GoHorseShow express our heartfelt prayers for Meg’s speedy recovery and her beloved horses to find homes to carry on both Meg and Lacey’s incredible legacies.
