History Making Ford AQHYA World All-Arounds Crowned

Brooke Jolstad is named the first 14-18 All-Around winner, and Emma Gore is named the first 13-&-Under All-Around winner at the Youth World.

For the first time in the 50-year history of the Ford AQHYA World Championship Show, All-Around Awards, sponsored by the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association Breeders’ Incentive Fund, were presented to the exhibitor and horse teams in the 14-18 and 13-&-Under divisions that earned the most points in three or more Level 3 youth events in three categories during the show.

AQHYA 14-18 All-Around

The 2022 14-18 AQHYA All-Around winner is Brooke Jolstad of Denver, who showed the American Quarter Horse Betta Believe It. The 2012 brown gelding by Too Sleepy To Zip and out of Only Showin Off, is owned by Julie Jolstad of Denver, and was bred by Anthony and Christina Curiale of Swedesboro, New Jersey. Jolstad and Betta Believe It earned 46 points in the 14-18 Level 3 all-around competition. In Level 3 competition, the pair placed third in performance geldings, third in 14-18 horsemanship, fourth in hunt seat equitation and sixth in western riding.

The 14-18 All-Around winner received a prize package of a $2,500 cash award, All-Around Champion Neck Ribbon, custom-logoed jacket and John Deere cooler.

The Reserve 14-18 AQHYA All-Around winner is Alexa Victoria Black of Springfield, Ohio, who showed her American Quarter Horse, Huntin A Hot Cowgirl. The 2015 bay gelding by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Huntin A Cowboy, was bred by Jakob Lee of Covington, Georgia. Black and Huntin A Hot Cowgirl earned 41 points in the 14-18 Level 3 all-around competition.

The pair earned the world champion titles in 14-18 hunt seat equitation and performance halter geldings. They also placed eighth in 14-18 horsemanship and ninth in 14-18 hunter under saddle.

The Reserve 14-18 All-Around winner received a prize package of a $1,000 cash award, reserve champion neck ribbon and custom-logoed jacket.

AQHYA 13-&-Under All-Around

The 2022 AQHYA 13-&-Under All-Around winner is Emma Grace Gore of Croton, Ohio, who showed her American Quarter Horse, KM Genuinely Best. The 2014 red roan gelding by RL Best Of Sudden and out of Genuine Goodbar, was bred by John Narmont of Auburn, Illinois. In Level 3 competition, Gore and KM Genuinely Best earned 72 points in the 13-&-Under all-around competition. The pair were world champions in 13-&-Under showmanship and 13-&-Under horsemanship and reserve world champions in western riding. They also placed fourth in 13-&-Under trail, fifth in 13-&-Under western pleasure, fifth in 13-&-Under hunt seat equitation and were finalists in 13-&-Under hunter under saddle.

The 13-&Under All-Around winner received a prize package of a $2,500 cash award, All-Around Champion Neck Ribbon and custom-logoed jacket.

The Reserve 13-&-Under All-Around is Isabella Buckley of Hampstead, North Carolina, who showed the American Quarter Horse Shes Rockin My Dream. The 2017 chestnut mare by The Rock and out of Secrete Dreams, is owned by William Buckley and was bred by Beth McNichol of Reddick, Florida. Buckley and Shes Rockin My Dream earned 63 points in Level 3 13-&-Under all-around competition. The pair were world champions in performance halter mares and reserve world champions in 13-&-Under showmanship and 13-&-Under horsemanship. The pair also placed third in 13-&-Under hunter under saddle and 13-&-Under hunt seat equitation.

The Reserve 13-&-Under All-Around winner received a prize package of a $1,000 cash award, reserve champion neck ribbon and a custom-logoed jacket.
