Thoughts and Prayers for Brad Gibby Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer

From Brad Gibby’s brother – Jimmy Gibby

Many of you know my Brother, Brad Gibby. Brad has been an avid supporter and key enthusiast in the horse world for over 40 years. NSBA, AQHA, PHBA, and several other breeds can attribute parts of their progress and programs over the years to Brad’s dedication.

In September 2019, Brad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He has already been through several rounds of chemo in hopes of delaying the inevitable of surgery to remove a tumor.  The Doctors are hoping to prolong the surgery as long as possible- with surgery comes other complications. Being part of a supportive community means sharing in the lows as well as the highs. We have all been through rough and trying times in the past.

A group of Brad’s friends- fellow horseman- got together and decided to do a GoFundMe as well as send out the Pro Horseman email many of you have probably received. We all know how expensive insurance and medical expenses are- especially for a horse trainer. We are hoping to raise money to help cover some of what insurance won’t, as well as help to relieve the stress of everyday expenses. Between chemo, doctors and everything that Brad is facing now he is unable to work and support his family.

This really hits home. It could be any one of us in this position. We are hoping that our fellow horseman and friends can help out any way they can. Brad has a long road to battle ahead and we want to try to make it as smooth as possible! Everyone’s support, prayers and words of encouragement can help make a big difference! Please share the link to this page and let’s show Brad how strong the horse community can be!
