Trainers Ricky and Jessica Noiseux Step Out on Their Own

Ricky and Jessica Noiseux have officially opened their new training business this month in Connecticut. Find out the scoop here.

This month, trainers Ricky and Jessica Noiseux are officially starting their own business, operating out of Echo Ridge Training Center in Suffield, Connecticut. The couple specializes in hunter under saddle and pleasure futurity horses, as well as the all-around, training a variety of horses from starting colts to finished show horses.

For the past four years, they have been assistanttrainers at Powder Brook Farm with trainers Gretchen Mathes and Gene Spagnola.

”We got married this past year, and after being assistant trainers for the past ten years or so, we felt that we had enough experience to take the next step in starting our own business,” Jessica told us.

The facility is equipped with thirty stalls, turnouts, indoor and outdoor arenas, round pen, hot walker, and a hot and cold water wash rack.

“We would like to keep the business to a smaller volume so we can do the work ourselves,” Jessica says.  “We want to have an individualized feel to our business and be able to focus on the needs and time each horse and customer require. We are fortunate to have a great set of core customers that we have had the opportunity to work for for a long time.”

Jessica discusses her and Ricky’s time at Powder Brook Farm. “It’s been a great working environment and we’ve made a great team. We’ve traveled all over the country, been lucky enough to work with some great horses and customers, and compete at the highest level. We’ve developed some great relationships and great friendships.”

Jessica adds, “Ricky and Geno are very close and do a lot together. They truly enjoy working together daily. Geno has been my eyes on the ground and is constantly pushing me to be better. My husband is my right hand, and he has been my left.”

Their future goals?

“At the end of the day, I know it sounds simple, but we just want to do a good job,” Jessica shares. “Work hard, put out a product we are proud of, and help each customer achieve their goals.”

“I first started training with Jess and Ricky five years ago, and I have been a witness to their growth and success in the equine industry, including with my horses,” says Select Amateur Isabel Scobie. “2019 is a year of milestones for them, with their wedding in July and now starting their own venture, Noiseux Show Horses. Not only are they good friends but they are also great trainers. I am excited that my horses and I are a part of this team.  We are all looking forward to this new chapter and what it brings. Congratulations you two, a dream realized, no one deserves it more.”
