Top Amateur All-Around Gelding Cool Made Machine Sells to Estelle McParlan

New Team Alert: GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Estelle McParlan on the purchase of multiple Amateur All-Around winner Cool Made Machine.

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Estelle McParlan of Fennville, Michigan on the purchase of multiple AQHA World and Congress Champion Cool Made Machine from Mallory Vroegh and her mother, Shannon Walker. This talented bay gelding affectionately known as Booker won the trifecta of awards this year winning the Amateur All-Around at the NSBA World Show, Congress, and AQHA World Show.

Under the training of Show Horses By Shannon, Estelle had a phenomenal first year in 14-18 with her heart horse, Amarillo By Moonlite (Larry). Estelle’s mother, Renee explained to us that they had been considering another horse for her daughter that would carry her through the rest of her 14-18 career and give Larry a lighter load.

“It had to be a pretty special horse to fill his shoes,” Renee says. “We were so grateful that Shannon and Mallory agreed that Booker could be that perfect horse for Estelle. We already love him, and we will cherish and care for him forever. This is the opportunity of a lifetime for Estelle, and she deserves it. We are proud of how hard she has always worked with all her horses, from the show horses to her project horses.”

Renee and Estelle say that they are thankful to everyone who has helped them along their journey, especially Shannon, Hannah Lind, and Spencer Groth of the Show Horses By Shannon team for always believing and trusting their family. They look forward to this next chapter.

“I am so grateful to have this opportunity to own such a phenomenal horse,” Estelle said. “I have watched Mallory, Blake, and Mirko (Mueller) show Cool Made Machine over the last year. He is a beautiful mover and they have turned him into an amazing all-around horse. I love Booker’s sweet and silly personality. He is naturally talented and an honest horse.”

Estelle’s trainer, Shannon Walker adds, “I’m so unbelievably excited to be keeping Booker in our program; he was super-fun to show in the trail, and Estelle is so much like Mallory that I think it will be a successful team. When we first met Estelle, I remember Spencer told me ‘I saw Estelle out galloping her horse as much as I was out galloping horses’ trying to get them ready at the youth world. He was so impressed with her work ethic; she came to us not long after that and the rest has been history.”

Vroegh and Cool Made Machine have been a team to beat from the very beginning. “It’s really hard to choose a favorite memory with Booker, everything has just been so special. Blake Weis and I have worked together for a very long time and on multiple horses, but there’s just something about the journey with this horse that was just so rewarding from the beginning,” Mallory reflects. “I just feel so humbled and grateful for every single time that I got to swing a leg over him. The accolades and the awards are absolutely something to never be forgotten. However, the journey with my team makes it so bittersweet, and I share every ounce of our success with all of them.”

Shannon Walker mentioned a few of their favorite wins with Booker. “Blake winning the Congress in the Trail is one of my favorite memories. And Booker just carried me to the Senior Trail finals out of 99 horses. Hannah Lind was Top 10 in a Level 2 Senior Trail here at the World Show, and it was only the second time she’s ridden him. I just think it speaks to his willingness and ability as a show horse.”

Mallory continues, “I could not be more excited to know that he is going to an incredible home that will take the best care of him that I could ever ask, and I will forever be their biggest cheerleader. I would just like to thank the village that has stood by me over the years, unwavering, and made my wildest dreams come true.”

The village that Mallory is referring to includes Blake Weis, Shannon Walker, Mirko Mueller, Kent Ray Taylor, Hannah Lind, Tony Anderman, Larry Adams, Clint Ainsworth, Shelley Grissom, Mike Bowman, Jeff Smuck, Michelle Swanson, and Matteo Sala. “The list could go on and on, but I undeniably have the most incredible village, and I am so grateful to have each and every one of them in my life. Thank you all,” Mallory says.

Shannon adds, “I just want to conclude with a big thank you to Jeff and Renee McParlan. They have been incredible to work with. Their trust in our program and support has been exceptional. The team we have been able to create between their child and horses wouldn’t be possible without all the effort they put into this.”

GoHorseShow wishes the best of luck to everyone involved with this incredible horse.
